New Patients at McGovern Chiropractic
McGovern Chiropractic is a warm, friendly place with a modern and professional feel. Wear loose clothing to your first visit if possible. Your first visit is split into two parts; Part 1 – The Initial Consultation, and Part 2 – Report of Findings (treatment is offered at this point).
Getting Started
You will sit down with your chiropractor to talk about what has brought you in and to go through your medical history. Your chiropractor will perform a health assessment that includes neurological postural analysis and orthopaedic tests. You and your chiropractor will sit down and go over an explanation of what the primary problem is and how chiropractic can help you. You will discuss your findings including your posture, as well as propose a plan for ongoing care. You’ll get all your questions answered. After, you’ll have the option of beginning with treatment. In addition to the traditional forms of adjusting, Lilies utilizes soft tissue muscle work to release tension. After your session, you can book your follow-up appointment.
Follow-Ups
The first stage of treatment is to provide relief from your pain. The second stage is rehabilitation and maintaining your progress with spinal care, strength and conditioning.
Can I Use My Insurance?
Your chiropractic care is self-funded. We are happy to provide electronic receipts depending on your preference, we do ask you pay for your care and claim it back from your insurers.
The Process
Chiropractic Consultation & First Treatment: £90
A thorough Chiropractic Consultation including medical history & Examination including neuro-postural analysis, discussion of the Report of Findings & 1st Treatment* (up to one hour) (NOTE: £45 deposit is required at the time of booking)
*The Chiropractor may choose not to offer you the first treatment immediately if further medical investigations are required.
Chiropractic Treatments: £50
The first stage of treatment is to provide relief from your pain. The second stage is rehabilitation and maintaining your progress with spinal care, strength and conditioning.

Cancelled Appointments:
As a consideration for your fellow patients please contact us if you cannot attend your appointment for any reason. We often have people waiting urgently for appointments. A full fee may be charged for appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Insurance Companies:
Many patients are now choosing to self-fund in order to obtain the quality of treatment they want. Insurance companies are less and less willing to fund treatment and some will only fund part of the costs. Please check your insurance policy.
